Why a blog for Apparition?

Apparition is a Frers 41 built in 1988 and raced on the Chesapeake Bay by a dedicated team of sailors. With a PHRF rating of 72, we race in the A2 fleet out of Annapolis. Normally each year's campaign of Apparition involves many races around drop marks, several distance races, and (if we're feeling lucky) a trip to a major racing venue.

This year, we're racing at Block Island Race Week 2009!

There are many people (okay, family and friends) who want to keep up with us as we prepare, deliver and race Apparition. Well, here you go!
